Getting There

My mom, dad and I started to drive down to Florida, on Wednesday we drove from Monroeville, OH to Charleston, West Virginia.  On the Thursday we drove from Charleston, West Virginia to Jacksonville Florida, where a family friend Julie lives.  Ironically Barb and Dave (Julie's parents) were going down to Jacksonville the same weekend and they happen to be two of my parent's best friends.  We spent Thursday night and Friday night in Jacksonville and we spent time with Barb, Dave and Julie.  On Saturday, Barb, Julie, Dave, my parents and I went to St. Augustine for the day and at night my parents and I drove the rest of the way to Orlando.

We stayed at Disney's Boardwalk Inn and we went to the parks on Sunday and Monday.  The parks that we went to were Animal Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, Epcot and Magic Kingdom.  We also stopped at Disney Springs to look at the store that I will be working at which is World of Disney and it is amazing.  I am so excited to start my job!

Applying for the Disney College Program

I have always loved Disney and it has been a dream of mine to work for Disney.  Throughout my
college career, I have heard people talk about the doing the Disney College Program and how great of an experience it is.  Last Spring, I found out that I would be graduating from Ohio University a semester early.  In the Summer, after doing research about it, I discovered that it is possible to do the program the semester after one graduates from college.

I thought about doing the program for a while and I finally decided to apply on September 18.  On that same day I got an email about scheduling a phone interview.  My phone interview was on September 21.  To prepare for my interview I looked at a website called Glassdoor in order to get an idea of what questions they were going to ask me (https://www.glassdoor.com/Interview/Disney-College-Program-Interview-Questions-E326343.htm).  I also looked at a Blog post that a woman named Alyssa wrote (http://alyssasdreamcometrue.blogspot.com/p/interview-questionstips.html).

On September 27, I received my acceptance email and instantly started to cry from happiness.  As I am writing this, it's hard for me to believe that all of this happened in a nine day span because it seemed as though it took forever to get my acceptance email after my interview.
